UPDATE from DAT MX Events

Hello racers
It’s just about here - the Amateur Open and Texas Vintage race at Spring Valley MX in Clyde Texas is June 12^th and 13^th. See the online flyer at www.datmxevents.com for the complete weekend schedule of events and classes offered.

We just finished working all weekend mowing and doing a little weed whacking, actually a lot, and wow, it was HOT hot hot. Hope you guys and girls and ready for some heat. If you’ve not had the chance to see the Texas Vintage Racing Club in action, please by all means plan to come out and see the guys put on a show from yesteryear. From gear to bikes, see what it looked like 35 years ago when Spring Valley first opened its doors.

DAT will be attempting its first live time scoring at this 2-day event. If all goes well, you will be able to use your laptop and or i-phone/smartphone to jump onto our wireless network and see everything we’re seeing using your web browser. You will have access to laptimes, classes - showing all riders, race order, results and much more. We have also increased the number of people doing sign-in that should expedite the process. There will no longer be hand written forms, so when you go to sign-in, just hop in line and let our crew input your info and print you a personalized form and release - and bam!.......we hope.

As per our last News Release, there will be some changes to the track. Some of the changes are to reduce lap times while some are for maintenance/upkeep needs to deal with the heat and dust. Nonetheless, lap times will be shorter for this event.

Online signups for both events are turned on at www.datmxevents.com and will be picked up through Friday June 11^th at 12:00 noon. Spring Valley’s fees are $10.00 Gate Fee for the weekend, and $25.00 entry fee for each class – no multi class discounts. Except for the Texas Vintage racers, this is a 2-day event, but regardless, the gate fee is $10.00 whenever you come, whether I’ts as early as Friday night or as late as Sunday morning. DAT advertises no rainouts, but if it comes a significant rain, we will have no choice but to figure something out that will work for the masses. However, if it rains out on Sunday, all Open classes will be scored as final from Saturday’s results and the Vintage race will be re-scheduled.

On a few final notes, DAT will once again be providing entertainment Saturday night, so please bring your lawn chairs and enjoy some tunes from the world famous, in his own mind, DJ Cam. The Christian Motorcycle Association will be on hand again to run our yellow flagging, starting line, and most importantly Blessing your bikes and you in staging. If you’ve not experienced this awesomeness, please come and receive as it’s worth the trip by itself. Vertical Adrenaline Motocross Ministries will be providing trackside Church Saturday before the race and twice Sunday, once before the morning event and once before the afternoon event.
